Bronchilitis and Milk
Hi All
Well I paid my first real visit to the hospital this weekend with Dagan. He had been vomitting and feverish and very snotty since Friday and had a very bad night on Friday night. On Saturday evening I eventually got him to the hospital where he had x-rays and I was told he has Brochiolitis (not as bad as Bronchitis) While we were there Garryck started coughing and the doctor checked him out too. So I got medicine for both of them, and on Sunday I couldn't get out of bed as I was so sick. Anyway DH was a star, he let me sleep the whole day and took care of the boys.
Ok, so my question is - I asked the Doctor about giving Dagan milk as it creates quite a bit of phlegm, and she said I must mix half the amount of formula with water. So instead of 6 scoops in 150ml, I must only put 3 scoops in. Does this sound right?? I had given him Hydrol on Saturday, but that I could only do for 24 hours, and then was told he has to go back to formula. Has anyone else been told any other ideas??

I don't know formula, so can't help you, sorry.
But I'm glad he's sleeping a bit better and on the mend! How are you feeling?

I feel a bit off balance and I sound like Barry White, but I figured it would be more relaxing for me here at work than it would be at home with Dagan - (terrible mommy, I know!)

Re: Bronchilitis and Milk
Micheal had the same and was admitted. They change his formula to Lactose free and gave him lotts of Hydrol. I would rather say change to Isomil or NAN Lactose Free and keep with the Hydrol it won't do him any harm.
